My name is Tony Banks, born and raised in Detroit, MI, and I am an inspirational rap artist with a disability and a mission to inspire all generations. I encourage others to turn negative vibes into positive outcomes. I really feel that this world has a lot of room for improvement and I would rather be a part of the solution rather than a part of the problem. My music relates to current events that happened in my lifetime; on June 30, 1991 I was a victim of a drive-by shooting on Detroit’s west side, leaving me quadriplegic (C-4) and paralyzed from the neck down. Instead of my injury being a downfall or an excuse, I chose to let it be my motivation and to inspire others along the way. I’m blessed to be a blessing.
Music has been the biggest asset to me – it helped lift my spirits during my difficult times and gives me a sense of purpose. My musical goals are really simple: I want to spread love, inspire, and motivate the whole world through music
