Zedd is 150% an entertainer, going from obscurity to household name on the back of two charting singles. His live stage shows are mystifying to watch and open you up to the childlike wonder of the EDM world. His great collaborations with amazing known artists brings consistent FM radio market value to each and every hit. With his positive messages and lyrics in hits like “The Middle”, “Stay The Night”, “Clarity” and “Lost In Japan,” he delivered meaningful, chart topping hits with clean, emotional female vocals. Simply put everyone, it doesn’t get any better than what Zedd brings to the table in his performances and music production. I gladly give him an A rating.

Anton Zaslavski, better known as “Zedd,” is a record producer, DJ, and multi-instrument musician of Russian–German origin. He is best known for his heavy electronic genre of music. Grammy-winning electronic producer Zedd broke onto the European dance scene in 2010 with a remix of Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.” Though known for his glitch, pulsing production, Zedd’s musical journey began in the acoustic realm. Raised in a musical family, the future producer cut his teeth on the piano at four years old and eventually moved on to drums and played in a rock band before being drawn into the digital world in 2009. Zedd built a name for himself with his remixes of artists like Lady Gaga, B.o.B, and Armand Van Helden while also releasing his own singles and EPs.

In late 2012, the young producer delivered his first full-length, the club-worthy Clarity, whose lead single, “Spectrum,” shot to the top of the U.S. dance chart. One of the follow-ups, “Stay the Night,” featuring Hayley Williams, reached number two on the British pop charts. The title track, featuring British pop singer Foxes on vocals, won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2014. That same year, Zedd scored another hit with Ariana Grande’s track “Break Free.”

In 2015 he released his sophomore LP, True Colors, which presented more diversity with genres like rock and rap as influences. The collection featured Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan, and Logic among its guests, and topped the Billboard dance/electronic chart. An international tour in support of the album followed. In 2017, he issued the single “Stay,” featuring Canadian singer Alessia Cara on vocals. The following year, he paired with country sensation Maren Morris for the single “The Middle,” which topped Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs charts and landed three Grammy nominations.

In March 2018, Billboard named Zedd as number seven on their 2018 ranking of dance musicians titled Billboard Dance 100. Zedd was tapped by National Geographic to make a song inspired by the documentary series One Strange Rock and released a video to the song, also titled “One Strange Rock” on his YouTube channel on 9 April 2018.

In July 2018, Zedd released his single with Elley Duhé, “Happy Now”. The accompanying music video was later released 23 August 2018. In September 2018, Zedd released his remix of the Shawn Mendes single “Lost in Japan”. This single quickly rose onto the Top 40 charts and was the first collaboration between the two artists. They performed this song at the 2018 American Music Awards on October 10, 2018 and then performed it again at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on November 8, 2018. The accompanying music video was released following both performances on 9 November 2018.

In February 2019, Zedd released his collaboration with Katy Perry, “365”, along with the song’s music video directed by Warren Fu. Zedd performed at Coachella on the main stage 21 April 2019, bringing out Katy Perry, Alessia Cara, and Maren Morris. In May 2019, Zedd announced the Orbit Tour, which kicks off in the fall of 2019. He will tour along with duo NOTD and Jax Jones.
